PiController is powerful linux control unit with Pi computer(Raspberry Pi or Banana Pi computer). We have developed expansion board that connects to Pi computer's GPIO ports. Atmel processor on expansion board cares for communication between Pi computer and board peripherals via i2c.Thanks to this you are able to use display and buttons  as input/output for your program.

Expansion board has battery voltage sensor so you will always know the battery level. For powering PiController you can use various voltage from 6 to 40 volts. You can use 2 types of battery packs, 8xAA battery pack or high capacity Li-Pol battery for longer life. Board will know if you power it with AA or Li-Pol battery and  will prevent the Li-Pol battery from undercharging by switching off all components.

The board has sound amplifier with loud 2 watt speaker. The Pi computer and the board are connected with 3.5 mm male to male audio cable.

We added PWM expansion chip with 16 PWM outputs so you can control up to 32 devices with PiController.

All GPIOs from Pi computer are divided between upper and lower D-Sub connectors of PiController.

Features of PiKit board:

  • 3 - axis accelerometers and gyroscopes
  • 3 - axis magnetometer
  • PWM expansion chip (16 more PWM outputs)
  • Various input voltage from 6 to 40 volts
  • LCD backlit 32 characters display
  • Safe turn off switch
  • Four backlit buttons
